Hey Guys!!!
Don’t we all love music???? I know I love music. I listen, play, make it. Just ALL that 🙂
Why not watch an introductory video on what I made with music… I’ll leave you with a cliffhanger because why not!
Very high quality, I know, I’m flattered to have made it. But yeah uh…..
Y’all know artists like Roddy Rich, Steve Lacy, and D4vd?
They have made hits using what I’d say, non-industry platforms.
But what I want to focus on is
So what I want to compare is
Soundtrap… and Bandlab
Soundtrap is a freemium DAW that offers a range of virtual instruments, loops, and effects. It supports real-time collaboration, allowing multiple users to work together on the same project simultaneously.
Bandlab does pretty much the same but is more lenient with its features, not placing that many of its features behind a paywall. It also features a wide selection of instruments, effects, and loops, and even includes real-time collaboration.
I’ve used them before and I want to compare them.
Before I get started, I want to proceed without bias. Because with bias, Bandlab would SOLO Soundtrap.
Bandlab:
During quarantine, I was using this app just to mess around and make “music”. A.K.A just using loop machines and recording it through BandLab and releasing it as something I made. When I would go out to release, it would just put out the music, no tweaks to the overall sound. 5 years later, a lot has changed. There’s stuff behind paywalls, there’s more on its social media side. But an overall good experience
Soundtrap:
I found out about this around Junior year and I only used it just to test it out. I’m gonna be honest, not my cup of tea. There’s alot and I mean A LOT of stuff behind a paywall and other stuff felt crammed together, I couldn’t access even a simple effect without it going like, “please proceed with payment”.
I also wish I had footage but I messed around and wasted time recording…
It’s fine, I’ll do it sometime later…
But for now, I gotta run and do other things.
Check out my other blogs and thank you for reading and watching!
